Quiet Time

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

Solitude, reflection and meditation, what do we see in those quiet times when we are still and reflect upon our own heart?  We need those quiet times in our busy world where we can just commune with the Lord.  Jesus found His strength, His power and His direction in those quiet times with the Father each day.

Writing these little articles has been a good exercise and discipline in making time for the Lord each day.  It has taught me to wait upon the Lord, to trust Him and to listen for Him.   If we are going to walk in the Spirit and if we are going to walk in the will and purpose of God, it important to us that we know His voice and that we endeavor, with all of our heart, to be obedient to whatever it is that He ask of us.  Are we missing our purpose and destiny, because we are too busy pursuing this life, rather than our eternal life and purpose?  It is spending time in His presence that strengthens us, renews us and keeps our feet upon the path of righteousness.  Life is very busy, and its demands are many, but we still need to find that quiet time with the Lord.  It is a place where we can find encouragement, strength and be lifted on His wings.  Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you.  Make time to be still and know that He is God.

Blessings,

#kent
