Faith that brings Us Into and Out Of

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Faith that brings Us Into and Out Of

Faith is living outside the box of everyday reality.  A person of great dreams and visions, must also be a person of great faith.  If our dreams and visions reside outside the norms of our natural world then it is our faith that takes reality to where our hopes and dreams reside.

Traditions and religions of men want to dam up the truth as they know it and contain it in a lake where once a river flowed.  Around its shores they build their cathedrals, edifices to the glory of God, the colleges and universities that establish in one place their doctrine.  God’s truth is a river that will not be contained.  It is always flowing with fresh water.  It is continually expanding and giving place to greater truth, revelation and understanding.  I believe that to be a characteristic of God.  Even when we gather around His throne of heaven and cast down our crowns at His feet we will still be in awe and marvel at God’s ever expanding truth, glory, power and dominion.  If we have truly jumped into the river of God then we will never get bored, because God is a dynamic force and in Him is always adventure and new things.

Why do you suppose that we see greater miracles in other third world countries than we do in our own where the gospel is widely preached and proclaimed?  Could it be that people have been so dumbed down by religion to the point that they no longer expect or believe for the supernatural?  They have confined God to their own box.  Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where [there is] no vision, the people perish…” Where there is no vision there is no faith in God, it becomes only faith in what we believe that we know and understand.  Our knowledge and understanding always has limitations and boundaries, but the Spirit of God knows no such boundaries.  We read and quote 1 Corinthians 2:9, which says, “However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.”  We shout and sing, “When we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be.”  What we so often don’t read is 1 Corinthians 2:10 that goes on to say, “but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.”  Glory to God, if God, by His Spirit is revealing these deep things of God even now, then I don’t have to wait to get to heaven to start rejoicing.  I am going to start rejoicing right now as I ask Him to give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Faith takes us out of the box of normal expectations and causes us to believe and lay hold of what is super natural.  Why not, we serve a supernatural God?  If He is real then don’t I offend Him by not believing His promises and what is in His will for me to lay hold of?  God is now expanding us and stretching us.  He is opening our eyes and expanding our vision.  He is calling us out of a religion that has lulled us to sleep and awakened us with His trumpet of a new day and a new time and place in God.  We are like Lazarus called forth from the tomb.  It is time to remove the burial clothes and the dead things.  We have been called back to life by the Resurrection and the Life and the life that we now live, we live by faith in the Son of God, who loved us and gave Himself for us.

Rise up people of God with great expectation in your hearts.  Catch the vision of the risen Savior and the coming King.  Even as His presence is in the midst of us He is catching us up into Him through the transformation of our thinking and understanding.  Even as He spoke to John on the Isle of Patmos in Revelation 4:1-2, “After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” 2At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it”.   In our spirits we are already being caught up to His throne and He is revealing His will and purpose through us in this hour.  In order for faith to bring forth the manifestation of the hope, it has to be responsive to the vision.   If we don’t have a vision we are already perishing.  We are being called as a general assembly of the saints into the presence of God’s Spirit.  Ask Him for ears to hear what He is saying to the Church in this hour.  He is stirring us up, preparing us for the battle and transitioning us into a kingdom mode.  It is no longer about the earthly and religious kingdoms, His kingdom is coming and we want to be the portals and gates through which it flows into this earth.   Faith is what leads you and sustains you on this adventure and journey of the outpouring of God’s purpose.
