Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So

April 6, 2016

Psalms 107:1-6

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say this— those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, 3 those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south. 4 Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle. 5 They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away. 6 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.

Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So

The greatest testimony to the goodness and the faithfulness of God is the testimony of His people.  One of the reasons people are attracted to Jesus and the reality of His truth is because of what He has personally done in each of our lives.   We know that He lives, not just because it is written in a book, but because we have experienced the living reality of His presence in our lives.  Most of us have experienced some supernatural experience where we have seen the hand of God move in our lives or the lives of others.  We know that there are angels and ministering spirits because we have beheld the evidence of their protection and provision in our lives.  We know that we know within our spirit that Christ lives within our hearts, because we know the joy of His presence and the assurance of His salvation and forgiveness.   But how will others really know if we don’t bear witness and testimony to the marvelous workings of the Lord in our lives.  Most often it is not miracles like the parting of the Red Sea that we experience.  It is the little personal miracles of His love and grace working in our lives and those of our family.  Are we faithful to magnify the Lord in all of His goodness?  We are the voice of God in the earth and if people are to hear about His wonderful love, faithfulness and salvation it has to be because we are bold enough and faithful enough to share it with those around us.

Think about all of the times that the Lord has answered prayer and moved on your behalf.  Every day I wake up I see it all around me.  Let us, His people, be faithful to give thanks to the Lord for He is good all of the time and His love endures forever.  Let us, His redeemed say so.   Share all the wonderful things that He is doing in your life and has done with those around you.

Revelations 12:10-11 says, “10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11They overcame him

by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”  There is power in the word of your testimony both for you and for others.  Be the voice of God and of HIs life to all around you.
